At Altreuter, we’ve been baking for our guests since 1962. Today, the third generation of our family carries on what Hans and Ida began. We make our cakes, pastries and chocolates by hand in our own bakery.
Our master confectioners share their skills with qualified confectioners and apprentices, just as they learned them: working together in the bakery.

A house with a story
Hans and Ida Altreuter opened their first café in Nördlingen in 1962 and built the house at Marktplatz 11 in 1968. We continue to run the café, pastry shop and hotel as a family business.
Through the yearsOur family’s master certificates
Hans Altreuter qualified as a master confectioner in Konstanz in 1958. Roland followed in 1990 and Max in 2025, both in Stuttgart. Our family has passed on these skills for three generations.
