We plan your visit with you
We discuss the dishes, guest count and arrival time with you in advance so your group can enjoy a relaxed visit. Our team prepares the agreed tables and food for your arrival.
Our family business has been part of Nördlingen since 1962 and based in this house on the market square since 1968. In the bakery, master confectioners Roland and Max Altreuter work alongside our team to make cakes and pastries.

A story for the coach
When the moonwalkers came for coffee
In August 1970 the Apollo 14 astronauts trained in the Ries crater around Nördlingen. Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, Eugene Cernan and Joe Engle also called in at our café. Founder Hans Altreuter was determined to show them the view from the Daniel.

After lunch, there is time to climb the Daniel, stroll through the lanes or visit the shops.
Coffee and cake
Before the journey home, join us again for coffee and take some chocolates with you if you wish.
The house stands at Marktplatz 11, right next to the Daniel, a walk from each of the five town gates. The Nördlingen tourist information can tell you where your coach can stop and park.

How large can our group be?
We cater for groups of up to 50 people. If several coaches come on the same day, please get in touch early and we will plan the times together.
From how many people is it a group?
You are welcome to request a table for a smaller party too. For a group visit, we discuss the number of guests, dishes and schedule with you personally.
What does lunch cost for a group?
We quote the price per person with our proposal. It depends on the dishes you choose.
Can our guests order in advance?
Yes, we choose two or three dishes together for your guests to select from. Please send us their choices before arrival so we can prepare lunch for your agreed time.
Can you cater for allergies?
Please mention allergies and intolerances in your request. We will tell you what we can offer.
Do you host club outings and celebrations?
Yes, a club outing, a class reunion or a big birthday. We can bake the cake with an inscription too. Just choose “Party / event” in the form.
Are there rooms for the driver and tour leader?
Our guest rooms are right by the Daniel, with breakfast included. Ask about them in the same request. The rooms are on the second and third floors and are reached by stairs only.
